This VINgnette will help you identify your time suckers, increase your awareness and ability to identify the difference between non-urgent and important tasks, show you how you can organize your week with technology, and establish achievable goals you and your team. We will take a look at your work space, unclutter, reorganize, and seriously scrutinize your time and energy on email. Course Outline:
Week 1 (Real Time Session September 12): Time Management for Managers
Content: Time management can make or break a manager. What does your desk say about your organizational style? Your personal space need not be over-the-top, obsessively clean; however, tidy and organized speaks volumes. Identifying your organizational skills, defining your priorities, delegating tasks to other team members, and de-cluttering your space will enable you to control your time and productivity. Technology can synchronize your personal and work life. Interactively we will discuss time tips and dissect your company's mission, vision, and values as drivers to help you prioritize your day, week, month, and year. We will evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in time management and offer tools for success. Beginning with the end in mind, your day planner, desk and email will get a facelift!
CE HOURS: 2.5 (1.5 hours of lecture, 1 hour for in-depth interaction of case discussions on the message boards)
